| Synopsis : | It was the 1950's and Frankie, Smudge, Jinx, and Sparky are four eager young men, on their way to their first big concert. Now they're all dead - killed by a bus load of young screaming fans on their way to the Beatles first concert in America! Killed, literally and figuratively by the arrival of The Beatles! Forever Plaid is a very funny look at the swinging music of the 1950s and 1960s as performed by four young men who dream of becoming like their idols, close harmony groups like The Four Aces, The Four Lads, The Four Freshmen, The Hi-Lo's and The Crew Cuts - all groups put out of business by the music of the 1960's. Now Frankie, Smudge, Jinx, and Sparky are back to give you the concert they never got the chance to give while they were alive! Forever Plaid - one of America's most performed musicals - not Back To The Future - but Forward To The Past! |
