| Synopsis : | This is a solo exhibition to celebrate the artistic journey of National Artist Syed Ahmad Jamal, spanning some five decades. Essentially, these artworks are a response to the events taking place around him, whether locally or on the international plane. The exhibition is inspired by the sense of responsibility and the social concerns of the artist towards events happening around him. Among the artworks on display are Duel In The Snow (1955), Mei 13 (1969), Sidang Roh (1970), and Soal Palestin (1983). Tan Sri Dato' Dr. Mohd Munir bin Abdul Majid, Chairman Malaysia Airlines will launch the exhibition on Mon, 25 Aug 2008 at 3pm. |
